3 Things To Do In Cheshunt This Weekend

3 Things To Do In Cheshunt This Weekend

We’re starting to see lockdown restrictions lifted, which means that within social distancing guidelines we’re able to get out and about a bit more. This is great news for people in Cheshunt and the surrounding areas because there is so much to see and do!

We are still a little limited as places such as the Royal Gunpowder Mills are closed, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get out there & enjoy some of what the local area has to offer.

If we all keep our fingers crossed for some nice weather this weekend, we should be able to get out of the house and have some fun!

Lee Valley Regional Park

This massive park has plenty of space to ensure that if you do visit here you’ll be able to social distance without too much problem. All of their open spaces are open for you to visit – and they recently re-opened their golf course if you fancy 18 holes this weekend!

The great thing about Lee Valley Regional Park is that whether you want to sit and picnic, cycle, walk or let the children run around and let off steam, you’ll be able to do it here! Have a look at their website to see everything they have to offer – there are loads!

Cheshunt Lake

Although part of Lee Valley Regional Park, Cheshunt Lake is worth a visit on its own! Take a walk around the lake and enjoy the scenery that this beautiful part of the work has to offer. If you’re equipped for it you can even enjoy some fishing while you’re there!

Cedars Park

If you want to make the most of the great outdoors this weekend then Cedars Park is also a great choice! This historic park is on the original site of Theobald’s Palace so is full of history. There is a beautiful pond, picturesque scenery and much more here.

Under normal circumstances, there would be a café to sit and enjoy lunch at as well as a mini-zoo to wander around, but make sure you check their website for details as to whether they’re currently open under the present circumstances.

With the world starting to get back to normal and facilities starting to open up, there are loads more things to look forward to! By the end of the month Paradise Wildlife Park will be open to the public and as soon as the Government announces they’re able to things like the Lee Valley White Water Centre are bound to be back to business too!

We’re lucky that Cheshunt has so much to offer if you have any recommendations on things to do in the local area make sure you let us know!
