When people are viewing a home intending to buy it, they want to be able to picture their future lives there and how happy they could be living there. A big part of this will be to do with how the property looks… and smells.
Getting The Property Tidy
You want your Cheshunt home to give the impression of as much space as possible. One of the biggest things that can affect how big a property looks is how much clutter is around. Where possible clear away as many things as you can, make the most of all the storage in your house. We wouldn’t recommend just shoving everything into cupboards, as your viewers may well open cupboard to have a look around. However, making sure small touches such as all shoes put away and no piles of washing on a chair in the bedroom will make a massive difference.
Giving It A Good Clean
Although no one is suggesting that you live in an unclean home, having a good clean before viewings is recommended. Before your viewing, get the polish out and give all of your surfaces a wipe over – this will get them nice and shiny which is always inviting to potential buyers. Run the hoover around, put the washing up away and make sure the toilet is nice and clean. These all seem like small, everyday things but they’ll make sure your house looks as lovely as possible, which will help people be encouraged to put an offer.
Get The Air Nice and Fresh
Just before people come to view, we would recommend getting your Mrs Hinch on! Open all of your windows to let in some fresh air if you can. Next, get some Zoflora or similar and get cleaning surfaces and spraying the air. You want people to notice the fresh, clean smell as soon as they enter the home, as this will tell them that the house is clean, tidy and encourage them to consider the home somewhere they’d like to live.
