Fall in Love with Your New Home This Valentines

Moving home is an exciting time – the start of a new adventure, a new chapter, a fresh start.
However, as exciting as this is, moving into a new house can feel strange too -  A different house, your bed in a different position and even the kitchen cupboards in a different order.
However, it is worth it because you get a brand new home! Here are some ways you can make settling in easier.

Unpack Your Bedroom
A good night’s sleep is important for our well-being. If you haven’t had a good night sleep then the chances are you’re going to feel grumpy and fed up the next day – not ideal for unpacking belongings and getting to know a new house.
When you’re packing up your old house, label boxes so you can easily find what you need. Prioritise unpacking your bedroom and getting that just how you like it. Put on clean bedding, unpack your favourite photos and get your bedside table organised just how you like it. This will all help you drift off into a decent sleep, which is essential for feeling great.

Go Exploring
Make sure you go exploring and get to know your new area. Maybe you’ll find a new favourite running route or a shop that does amazing baked goods. Having something that you love about an area will certainly help you feel settled in.

Invite Friends Over To Help

Unpacking your belongings and getting your new home ready is hard work – When life is back to normal you could invite some friends over to help! You could have a paint party or get them over to help rearrange the kitchen. Team this up with a takeaway and a couple of drinks & you’re well on your way to making some new memories in your new home. Failing that, don’t be afraid to video call friends and give them a tour of your new house, they’ll be keen to come around as soon as they’re able to. Get your support bubble involved too if you have one.
