Get The House Ready
Now is definitely the time to start getting the house ready to sell. A spring clean could be a good idea, but why not do that in February instead? Most of us have homes with a little too much clutter and a lot of stuff. Why not start to work your way through these things, what can you get rid of? What could be sold to put money towards your moving fund?
What Paperwork Do You Need?
Getting your paperwork ready in advance is also recommended. For example, you’ll need photo ID to sell your house so if you don’t have this, or it is due to expire soon why not get that sorted? These things have a habit of taking longer than we would imagine them to, so getting them ticked off the list now is a good idea. Speak to your estate agent and if you know who you will use your conveyancing solicitor about what paperwork you’re likely to need and you can start to get this together now.
