The town has plenty of entertainment for its 50,000 population to enjoy, without the hefty price tag that many areas of the London commuter belt have attracted.


Transport

If you work in London, or simply fancy a visit you’ll be pleased to know you can get to central London by car in around an hour or top on a train and get to Liverpool Street in just 25 minutes. If it is the rest of the UK you want to visit, you’ll be pleased to know that both the A1 and the M25 are close by. Fancy jetting off somewhere? London Heathrow and London City Airport are nearby and you can reach Stansted airport in as little as 34 minutes using The Stansted Express!


Education

If you’re looking for a family home then local education options are important. There are over thirty primary schools nearby, with four of them achieving an Ofsted rating of Outstanding. Secondary education also offers several options, with two schools being rated Good by Ofsted. There is also a handful of schools for children with learning difficulties that have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted.


 
Entertainment

There is so much to do in Cheshunt that you can be sure there is something for everyone. The immediate area is full of countryside and you’re just a short distance from London if you something more exciting to do. If you fancy seeing some of the local countryside you could head to River Lee Country Park (it has loads of water activities you can take part in) or Broxbourne Wood National Nature Reserve! If you’re looking for something indoors to take part in then the Laura Trott Leisure Centre has lots to do too!
Brookfield Shopping Park has loads of high street shops on offer and there are plans for a massive refurbishment in the pipeline too!

On average, compared to the rest of the UK crime rates in Cheshunt are lower, with Cheshunt West particularly low! There are many neighbourhood watch schemes and Safer Neighbourhood Teams in place which helps to keep the area safe.
