Why This Time of Year Should Put A Spring In Your Step For Selling Your Home

Now we’re well into March, it is safe to say that Spring is well and truly on its way. I am sure most of us are looking forward to better weather and brighter evenings – both of which are great conditions to market your home in! Here at Christopher Stokes, we successfully sell homes all year round but at this time of year, when lots of people are considering a new start for Spring and Summer, it is a great time to get your house on the market.

Better Weather

The nights are already starting to draw-out before the clocks change forward near the end of March.  Lighter evenings are the ideal opportunity to allow viewings in your home, and garden. At Christopher Stokes a member of our sales team attend all our viewings and are open from 9am until 7pm on weekdays!  With brighter days you can show off your garden or any outdoor space you have, as well as allow the natural light throughout your house show it off in the best possible way.

Lockdown Easing

Spring, especially this year, as we will hopefully soon be out of lockdown is likely to see an increase in buyer activity and viewings – making it an ideal time to capture the attention of buyers looking for something new. We should see restrictions over the coming months & this combined with the news that children will be returning to school will get people wondering what their next steps are and a new house could well be one of the new steps they wish to take.
Lockdown has made more of us think of larger homes, bigger gardens and a move away from big cities and into towns that offer more outdoor space for living.

De-Cluttering

We all feel like de-cluttering and starting afresh as the weather improves, this combined with the lighter evenings and better weather mean our homes tend to look their best in spring. Remember, as much as you’re de-cluttering ready for the next step in your journey so is everyone else – so if you are thinking of selling this year, maybe now could be the right time?
